School counseling enhances students’ overall well-being and equips them with the skills needed to succeed both academically and personally
Moreover, PICS Nepal has extended its involvement to encompass the school administration, teachers, and parents within the process. Our commitment is unwavering in delivering exemplary services through the PICS School Project, employing diverse methodologies that encompass one-on-one counseling, behavioral interventions, psychotherapies, group counseling, and fostering a general understanding of mental well-being among students, teachers and parents associated with Adarsha Secondary School.
The role of school counselors extends beyond academic guidance. They work collaboratively with students, parents, teachers, and administrators to create a positive and inclusive school environment. Through a range of counseling techniques, educational programs, and interventions, school counselors address various aspects of students’ lives, including academic success, career planning, mental health, and interpersonal relationships.
In addition to assisting students in setting and achieving academic goals, school counselors also provide a safe space for students to discuss personal concerns, explore their interests and strengths, and develop essential life skills. These professionals play a crucial role in identifying and addressing behavioral and emotional issues that might affect students’ ability to thrive in their educational journey.
School counseling project involves activities such as individual counseling sessions, group workshops, classroom presentations, and collaborating with teachers to provide holistic support to students of Adarsha Secondary school. By promoting well-being, emotional intelligence, and effective communication, school counseling contributes to creating well-rounded individuals who are better prepared to navigate challenges both within and beyond the school environment.
