Internship Program
A psychology internship is a crucial part of a psychology student’s academic and professional development. It provides practical, hands-on exposure to real-world mental health settings, allowing interns to connect theoretical knowledge gained from textbooks, lectures, and academic training with actual counseling practice. This experiential learning helps students understand the real-life application of psychological principles in clinical, school, and community settings. As a growing psychological center and best counseling center in Nepal, PICS NEPAL offers internship opportunities designed to build competent, ethical, and skilled future mental health professionals.
The internship program is structured to provide counseling interns and students with supervised practical experience in environments where professional counseling and psychosocial services are actively delivered. Interns gain valuable exposure to individual counseling, group counseling, psychoeducation, school mental health programs, and community-based mental health initiatives. The experience also includes evaluative feedback on interns’ knowledge, attitudes, communication skills, empathy, and ability to work with diverse client populations in real-world settings. Through this process, PICS NEPAL strengthens both professional training and the delivery of its school mental health programs through outreach, assessment, and service implementation.
